Description/Reviews
All in all Miosis plays soft and relaxing progressive rock, with some elements which remind one of Deftones or Karnivool. The songs are different but they match together and there are no big experiments in them. There are some outstanding parts of clean, ambient sections, such can be found on “Zwe[ii]”, which also builds up as “The moth”.
Caripito feels very similar to the current album of Riverside. Their kind of climaxes in the songs is built up in the same way. Instead of breaking out, they are growing and fading. You can clearly hear an intense flow within every song and between the songs. “Inferno” profits from this fact and proves a lot of potential to be kept in mind. This album is not heavy on any side, but it is very groovy and rocky in every song and even sometimes it gets psychedelic.
